For a long time, we only had Google ads, because we want to stay independent of advertisers.

However, we receive many requests for advertisements, so we have thought about a way to allow this, with which we are comfortable. We started with advertisements for small hotels.

So, here, you find information about the possibilities for advertisement on the Lazy Motorbike. On this page, you can read which hotels may apply, and what we are looking for.

Motorcycle riders like to travel. Some of them prefer their tent, but many of them like to spend the night in a hotel.

The page about where to sleep in Europe shows what we like in a hotel for motorcycle riders. The page also offers the possibility for hotels that fit in this description, to advertise.

On the page about where to sleep in Spain we describe some of the hotels where we spent the night and which we especially liked, and that page also offers the possibility to advertise.

Which kind of hotels?

What kind of hotels may advertise?

The idea is certainly not that only hotels that aim exclusively at motorcycle riders may advertise on these pages.

What is important?

We look for family-owned hotels with character.

There should be a place to park the motorbike, and preferrably, there is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel.

Of course, it's important that the surroundings have interesting roads for motorcycle riders, and it's a bonus if there are interesting places to visit.

For motorcycle riders, it's convenient if the rooms have a bit of space, for the luggage, the helmets, the jackets and pants.

You may want to view the statistics in a bigger picture, to see all statistics for yourself in detail.

In short, we receive more than 1000 visitors each day, and thos numbers have almost doubled compared to the previous year.

These visitors are motorcycle riders looking for information.

Pricing

We want to attract advertisers of hotels that are in line with our ideas about the best places to sleep for motorcycle riders. That means that we are not looking for hotel chains, but for smaller hotels, family-run hotels.

Often, these places are not called hotels, but Gasthaus, Hostal, Pub with accomodation, or whatever the name is in specific countries.

Therefore, we want to keep the price affordable: our pricing is simple: it costs 75 euro's for one year.

You get a photo of 600 x 450 pixels, and an extensive description, as you can see in the examples of the pages with ads.

Selection

Not every place to sleep will be allowed to have an ad on our pages: we will decide, for each applicant, whether we think the hotel is worthwhile.

We have to agree!

More than 1000 motorcycle riders visit our site each day. The ads we offer are big ads, for a small price. We perfer it that way, because we want smaller hotels to be able to advertise with us: the hotels we ourselves prefer.

It means that chains like Ibis or Holiday Inn will not be alowed to advertise: we only allow hotels that we think are worthwhile on our site.

The procedure is as follows:

You send us a proposal, and we take our time to consider your application. If we agree, we send you an invoice.

What to send

In your proposal, you send:

A photograph. The outside of the hotel is the most obvious subject. The photo should hav a length or width of at least 600 pixels (more is no problem: we will adjust the size).
• A link to your website.
• The url of the page on which you want your advertisement to appear. This is accommodation in Spain or in Europe, at this moment.
• A description of the hotel, in about 150 words. You can find inspiration in the descriptions on the aforementioned pages. Try to emphasize what you think are the best points of your hotel. Also, say something about where the motorbikes will sleep.
• A section on What to see, and a section about the surroundings. In total, about 150 words. In this case also, you can check the examples.

Help with the descriptions

If you want help with the descriptions, for instance because you are not really sure about what to say, or because of language problems, we can help you if we think your hotel is a worthwhile addition to the site.
